For most of us, no meal is complete without a dessert at the end of it. On the other hand, it's equally important to manage sugar consumption.
Recently, nutritionist Shikha Kumari shared on Instagram that the reason we crave for sugar is partly physiological and partly psychological and it could also be due to blood sugar imbalance, insulin resistance, hormonal imbalance and poor diet.
However, she suggested some tips to manage sugar cravings; like incorporating protein and fibre-rich food for breakfast, starting a day with fresh fruits, drinking plenty of water and gradually cutting down consumption of sweetened beverages like soda, tetra-packed juices and energy drinks. Eating a balanced diet which contains proper amount of veggies, protein and healthy carbs also helps.
