Udon noodles are delicious and filling. They are a popular type of noodles that are slightly thicker than the usual noodles. These noodles can be made in a jiffy and pair well with a variety of ingredients. Due to their thickness, they take a longer time to cook than regular plain noodles.

Step 1
Take 500 grams of udon noodles and cook them in boiling water with a pinch of salt in it. Once cooked, rinse the noodles with cold water, drain and set aside.
Step 2
Heat some oil in a pan. Chop and add 3-4 cloves of garlic into the pan. Next, add 2 diced scallions. Saute for a minute.
Step 3
Add 1 cup shredded cabbage, ¼ cup julienned carrots, and 3 sliced mushrooms of your choice into the pan.

Step 4
Prepare the sauce by combining 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp mirin, 1 tbsp sugar, and 1 tsp Gochugaru into a bowl.
Step 5
Add the prepared sauce into the pan along with the noodles and stir. Serve hot.
