Ganesh Chaturthi in 2024 will begin on Saturday, September 7. This ten-day festival, celebrated primarily in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and other parts of India, marks the birth of Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed deity known for wisdom and as the remover of obstacles.
The festival includes the installation of Ganesha idols in homes and public places, followed by daily worship rituals. The most auspicious time for the Ganesha Puja this year is from 11:03 AM to 1:34 PM on September 7. The festival concludes with Ganesh Visarjan on September 17, where the idols are immersed in water as part of a grand procession.
