Summer is here and so is everyone's favourite fruit, mango! This summer, forget boring mango recipes and instead try this delicious mango-sago pudding, which you can make at home in minutes. The pudding originated from Hong Kong but is now popular throughout East and Southeast Asian countries. Let us learn how to make it!

How to make mango sago pudding

To make mango sago pudding, soak 1/2 cup of sabudana/ sago pearls overnight. Drain, rinsing well. Next, boil the sabudana in water and let it cook until translucent, making sure to stir continuously. Remove from heat and immediately drain and rinse with cold water.

Next, in a blender jar add:
- 2-4 tbsp condensed milk
- 200 ml coconut milk

Give this a good mix and check the sweetness.

Next, dice one ripe mango and add it to the bowl of sabudana. You can add coconut jelly for that extra taste. Add the blended mixture, give it a good mix and dig in!

Benefits of eating sabudana and mango

Not only is this dessert super yummy, it is also nutritious and healthy.

Sabudana is rich in carbohydrates, making it an excellent source of energy.  It is also easy to digest and can help keep the body hydrated when consumed as part of a meal or snack. Mangoes are packed with essential vitamins and minerals. They are particularly high in vitamin C, which boosts the immune system and promotes healthy skin.  They are also rich in antioxidants.
