However, this summer other than Aam Panna try Watermelon Panna too shared by Chef Kunal Kapur. The chef has shared the lip smacking recipe for this unique drink on his Instagram account with a caption -

Aaj ki recipe hai Watermelon Panna jisse ek baar piyenge toh baar baar peene ka mann karega. Let's prepare this sweet & tangy summer drink so you quench your thirst with homemade, delicious and healthy beverages!

So, let's quickly delve into the recipe for making 'watermelon panna'

Ingredients for making 'Watermelon Panna'

  • Watermelon
  • Kashmiri red chili powder 
  • Cumin or jeera
  • Black salt
  • Black pepper
  • Mint leaves
  • Lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Water

Step by step recipe to make 'Watermelon Panna'

    1. First cut watermelon into small pieces and blend them in a mixer.
    2. Now place a pan on gas flame and place a strainer over it and filter the juice.
    3. Now cook this juice till it reduces to half. When the juice starts boiling, add sugar and Kashmiri red chili powder to it.
    4. Now roast cumin and black pepper in another pan and grind them.
    5. After this, add mint leaves, salt, black salt, roasted cumin and black pepper to the watermelon juice and mix well.
    6. Finally squeeze lemon juice into it. Serve watermelon panna chilled in a glass with ice and water. And enjoy!
