- Also known as Hapus, Alphonsos are the most famous and expensive variants of mangoes, and are mostly produced in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
- Dussehri mango originated from Dussehri in Uttar Pradesh, which is now also available in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar.
- Chausa mangoes are produced in Bihar as well as in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
- The parrot-shaped Totapuri mango is sourced from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh.
- Himsagar mango is popular in West Bengal and Odisha. Besides being delicious, these mangoes weigh around 250 to 300 grams each.
- Langda mango is produced in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh.
