'Peanut Butter and Chocolate Day' celebrates the delightful combination of peanut butter and chocolate, enjoyed in various treats like cookies, candies, and desserts, invoking indulgence and satisfaction in every bite. It is celebrated on July 23.
Peanut butter is one of the most popular spreads and is considered to be a healthy addition to your diet.
Recently, nutritionist Richa Gangani took to Instagram and revealed that most peanut butter which is available in the markets is not pure and healthy.
In her post, she revealed that many commercial brands of peanut butter contain unhealthy oils, salt, sugar, flavourings, artificial sweeteners and even trans fat which are linked to various health conditions such as heart disease and weight gain.
Therefore, she suggested that rather than buying processed peanut butter with several added ingredients, choose peanut butter with only peanuts and maybe with a bit of salt as its ingredient. Also, you can try making this at home.
On the hand, she mentioned that small amounts of peanut butter occasionally is unlikely to cause any harm, but it shouldn't be an everyday food as it is high in calories.
Flavour synergy: Peanut butter's nutty richness complements chocolate's sweet, creamy taste, creating a balanced and satisfying flavor profile.
Texture contrast: The smoothness of chocolate contrasts nicely with the creaminess of peanut butter, enhancing the eating experience.
Versatility: This combo can be used in a wide range of treats and desserts, from cookies and brownies to candies and ice creams, making it versatile and appealing to various tastes.
Comfort food: Both peanut butter and chocolate are comfort foods individually, so combining them intensifies the comfort and pleasure derived from eating them together
