Are you guilty of storing leftovers in the fridge and forgetting about them till the time they reach a point to be thrown away? Looks like you are not alone.

According to a recent poll, an average of 2,000 adults spend $248 weekly on groceries and end up throwing away about $63 worth of that.

This survey was done by OnePoll on behalf of HelloFresh, where 83% of respondents admitted cooking extra food. 35% agreed they mostly forget about the leftovers, 43% finish the leftovers, while 24% said they get tired of eating the same food and thus discard them.
