Summer is here and so are lychees and mangoes. These two summer-exclusive fruits are both delicious and nutritious. While mangoes and lychees are great to have, you can also make various desserts, combining the goodness of both.

This summer ditch boring desserts and instead make this delicious mango-lychee sandesh at home. Here is a simple recipe.

How to make mango-lychee sandesh

To make mango lychee sandesh, you need, 15-20 lychee, 100 gms paneer, 1 mango, roughly chopped, 1 scoop vanilla icecream/ 1/4 cup sugar / 1 tbsp sugar-free, 8-10 kesar strands soaked in 4-5 tbsp milk, 8-10 pistachios, finely chopped.

To make it, slit a lychee & deseed it. Mash the paneer well with your palms till smooth. Add in the chopped mango, vanilla icecream/sugar & half the kesar soaked in milk. Give it a good mix & then stuff the sandesh mixture in the lychee & remove the excess. Chill it for 30-40 minutes. Arrange in a dish & add in the remaining kesar milk & garnish with chopped pistachios. Serve chilled!

Benefits of eating lychees and mangoes

Lychees are an excellent source of vitamin C, antioxidants and fiber. With a high water content (about 82%), lychees can help keep you hydrated, especially in hot weather, making it ideal for summer.

Lychees also boost the immune system and bone health.

Mangoes are packed with essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin K, potassium, and folate. These nutrients support overall health and well-being.

The fruit is also rich in antioxidants which help protect cells from oxidative stress and reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.
