If you are an Alia Bhatt fan, we bet you know about her favourite cake in the world, Tres Leches from a cafe in London. The diva had revealed in an interview once that Ranbir Kapoor had flown in her favourite cake from London so that she could enjoy it. 

If you want to make this simple yet delicious milk cake at home, we have the perfect recipe.

How to make Tres Leches cake at home?

To make this easy and delicious cake, you need a few ingredients and a few hours in your hands.

To make this cake you need raw unsalted pistachios, vanilla boxed cake mix, eggs, butter, ground cardamom, green food color, pistachio extract, whole milk, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, powdered sugar, and dried rose petals.

How to make?

In a medium-sized pan, dry roast the pistachios on medium heat for about 3-4 minutes. Take it off the heat and blend it in a mini food processor. 

Next, add ½ cup of ground pistachios and green food colour. Pour the batter into a baking tray and bake for 30 minutes. After has cooled down, start preparing the milk mixture. 

Next make your milk mixture by adding 1 cup whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and evaporated milk. Add cardamom powder and blended pistachios. Use a whisk to mix well.

Poke holes in your cake and pour over the milk mixture. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.

Take it out in the morning and enjoy!
