Easter is just a few days away and we bet you are wondering what to make on the day to impress your friends and family. Easter recipes are all about innovation and this year we bring to you the perfect dish that will amp up your party. Not only is it a delicious snack, but also a great gift.

The dish is known as Persian Rocky Road and it is a delicacy from Australia invented in 1853 as a way to sell the sweets that spoiled during the long voyage from England.

Here's how to make this delicacy!

How to make Persian Rocky Road

Take white chocolate or dark chocolate (whichever you prefer). Melt it in the microwave for 30 seconds and keep mixing in between.

Once melted add 1 tsp of coconut oil and mix well. This not only gives your chocolate a great texture and flavour but also a glossy finish. Next add 2 tbsp pistachios, 1/2 cup chopped-up Turkish delight, handful of chocolate Easter eggs, 1 tsp Rosewater, 2 tbsp almond flakes, 1 tsp freeze-dried raspberry powder. Mix this well and transfer it onto a lined dish. Garnish with dried rose petals, pistachios and silver leaf after baking it for 30 minutes.

Dig in and enjoy!

History of Easter

The story of Easter is told in the New Testament of the Bible, where Jesus was arrested by Roman authorities because he claimed to be the “Son of God”. Roman Emperor Pontius Pilate sentenced him to death by crucifixion. Jesus's resurrection three days later commemorates Easter. This day is also strongly related to the Jewish Passover holiday.

This year Easter will be celebrated on March 31.
