Who doesn't love French fries, right? But according to new research binging on fried foods, especially fried potatoes may negatively impact mental health.
The study published in the journal PNAS (Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America) found that people who frequently consume fried foods were 12 per cent more likely to go through anxiety and had a 7 per cent risk of depression.
The research was conducted on 140,728 people for over 11.3 years and 8,294 cases of anxiety and 12,735 cases of depression were found in those who consumed fried foods.
