Why to drive when you can relax at the backseat of a car and this is exactly what the the younger generation has to say. According to 'The Washington Post' Gen Z prefers booking a cab rather than driving themselves.
According to a survey, back in 1997, 43 per cent of 16-year-olds and 62 per cent of 17-year-olds had driver’s licenses. By 2020, these numbers dwindled to 25 per cent and 45 per cent respectively.
The report stated that Gen Z is more likely to be concerned about environmental factors. They also avoid driving fearing accidents, monetary loss, extra expense for car insurance and personal damage.
Another factor is that Gen Z prefers doing things online without having to leave home.
