Running offers a multitude of benefits, from improved cardiovascular health and enhanced endurance to weight management and stress reduction. It also promotes better mental well-being by releasing endorphins, and can even potentially extend your biological age, as recent studies have suggested. Whether you're a casual jogger or a dedicated runner, the positive impacts on your physical and mental health make it a rewarding and accessible form of exercise.

A recent research discovered that engaging in 75 minutes of jogging or running per week, as opposed to not running at all, led to a noteworthy discrepancy in biological age. Runners exhibited an advantage of approximately 12 years in biological age compared to non-runners. The study's findings were based on an examination of over 4,400 participants, making comparisons between individuals who ran for at least 75 minutes weekly and those who ran for less than 10 minutes weekly.

The study was published in the International Journal of Environmental Research & Public Health.
