Shilpa Shetty Kundra is known as the fitness guru of Bollywood. The actor keeps on sharing the snippets from her yoga and exercise sessions.
Recently, Shilpa shared a workout video and according to her "the recipe for washboard abs is “Planks, planks, and more planks”.
She wrote, “This workout trains the entire body, primarily driven by the core muscles. Stimulate all your muscles by performing these three exercises for three sets and 15-20 reps,”.
Shilpa also mentioned that extended arm plank, side elbow plank and elbow plank strengthen the core, arms, legs, shoulders and back muscles, and build muscular endurance.
Core Strength: Planks engage multiple core muscles, including the rectus abdominis, transverse abdominis, obliques, and lower back muscles, leading to improved core strength.
Stability and Posture: Holding a plank position helps develop stability, promoting better posture and reducing the risk of back pain.
Full Body Workout: Planks activate various muscle groups, such as arms, shoulders, and legs, providing a comprehensive full-body workout.
Muscular Endurance: The isometric nature of planks enhances muscular endurance by requiring muscles to support the body weight for an extended period.
