Cases of thyroid cancer increases in India by 25% due to pollution and poor lifestyle

Pollution and poor lifestyle contribute to several problems. And now it has come to light that cases of thyroid cancer has increased by 25% due to these factors. 

Experts at the "Endocrine Pathology Updates: Thyroid" programme at the King George's Medical University (KGMU) shared this information. 

According to them, earlier only 50 patients used to get diagnosed every month which has now increased by 25%. 

It was also noted that cases of thyroid cancer are higher in women because of their hormonal levels.
