A lot of us love eating cheese but try to avoid it fearing weight gain. But according to experts, cheese is much healthier than we think.
Cheese is a rich source of protein, calcium and phosphorus. According to research even full-fat cheese does not make us gain weight or is harmful to our heart.
Nutritionists say that rather than increasing risk of chronic diseases, like heart attack or Type 2 diabetes, cheese might be preventive.
In a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, researchers followed 120,877 men and women in the United States for 20 years, to determine which food affected their weight. They found that cheese neither aids weight gain nor loss, even for those who increased the amount of cheese they consumed during the study.
