Meditation for Pain Relief: According to a recent research published in the journal named PAIN, individuals who practice mindful meditation experience less physical pain compared to those who don't mediate.
For the study, researchers applied heat to the legs of participants while they underwent an MRI.
Researchers discovered that those who were actively meditating experienced pain that was 32 per cent less intense and 33 per cent less unpleasant. The authors of the study said mindful meditation can cut off the flow of information between brain regions that are responsible for pain perception.
