They cited a report on SpringerLink, an integrated platform for journals and other materials published by Springer. Springer is the observational research conducted by Banaras Hindu University. They have written in their report that about one-third of the population jabbed with Covaxin has reported AESI.
The Economic Times reported that of 1,024 individuals enrolled, 635 adolescents and 291 adults could be contacted during the year-long follow-up. The study revealed that at least 47.9 per cent of adolscents and 42.6 per cent of adults reported viral upper respiratory tract infections.
According to experts, AESI is a defined condition that occurs in some people following immunization, with the potential to be causally associated with a vaccine product.
