Besides calcium other nutrients like vitamin C, B12 and vitamin D are equally important for stronger teeth and better oral health. These vitamins can be helpful in treating tooth ache and swollen gums. This is how you can add them to your diet.
 
Vitamin C

Vitamin C deficiency is a major reason for gingivitis or pyria. It helps increasing immunity in body as well as prevents bacterial infections in the mouth. Add more citrus fruits like tomatoes, oranges and sweet lemons to your diet. 
 
Vitamin D

One of the most important nutrients for teeth is vitamin D which helps teeth in absorbing calcium. Spending 15 to 20 minutes a day under the sun can be helpful. Other than this you can also add mushrooms, cheese, milk, soy to your diet. 
 
Vitamin B12 
 
Vitamin B12 is another essential nutrient for better oral health. Fish, eggs, mushrooms, milk and other dairy products are rich in vitamin B12.
