A latest research from Northwestern Medicine suggests that dimming the lights before bedtime is good for pregnant women.
It was mentioned that during pregnancy, women who spend time in rooms with low lighting, including not-so-bright phone and computer screens, before hitting bed are at lesser risk for gestational diabetes mellitus.
The lead study author and Northwestern Medicine neurologist Dr. Minjee Kim said that light should be pretty dim for several hours before we go to bed. We probably don’t need that much light for whatever we do routinely in the evening.
