Do you directly drink beverages from cans? If, yes, looks like it is time to stop right there. According to experts, drinking directly from cans can lead to health troubles as these cans are a storehouse of germs and infections.

Recently, nutritionist Simrun Chopra shared a video on Instagram saying that cans are stored in warehouses which are rarely washed or cleaned. During storage they may have rats running over them, covering some of them in urine or faeces. Ingesting this by mistake can cause leptospirosis.

She further said that it is advisable to wash the can or wipe it clean with a wet cloth or use a straw if you have to drink from the can.
