International Yoga Day is celebrated on June 21 every year. This year, the theme for International Yoga Day is ‘Yoga for Humanity’. Yoga has several health benefits such as relieving back pain, improving sleep cycle and improving heart health.
In an exclusive interaction with Editorji, actress Alaya F talked about her love for Yoga and how it has impacted her life.

Yoga has now become the way I start my day. It gives me a fresh start to the day and clears my mind. It makes me feel centred and calms my mind.
Yoga will calm you down and energise you for the entire day and really does energise me for the entire day. Yoga is a great way for me to stay in shape and is great for my mind and body.
Keep an open mind because yoga doesn’t fit in any preconceived notions and in case you need any extra motivation, then find a friend to do it with.
Firstly, I hold myself accountable by telling everyone and secondly, I enjoy finding a friend to do Yoga with.

So, my teacher is wonderful and she tells me what speed to go at and how to correctly do certain postures to avoid any injury and I just follow her instructions.
