Working out is not only great for our physical health but also for our mental health and is more efficient than medication.
A recent study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine stated that regular exercise improves the symptoms of depression and anxiety. The researchers found that intervals of exercise for 12 weeks or less improve symptoms of mental illness while higher-intensity exercise has greater improvements in mental health and anxiety.
Patients with depression, pregnant women or the ones dealing with postpartum symptoms, kidney or HIV-positive patients also benefit the most from regular exercising.
Earlier research has also shown the positive impacts of exercising daily which include cancer growth reduction, Type 2 diabetes and life longevity.
