Curd is a rich source of protein and many of us love having it with our meals. Whether in the form of raita or buttermilk, curd is a staple part of Indian diet. However, most of us refrain from having it in winters fearing catching a cold.

Nutritionists say that it is just a myth that eating curd in winters might cause cough and cold. Instead, active bacteria in curd fights germs in our body and helps in digestion.
So, go ahead and have curd even in winters but at room temperature and not refrigerated.
