People are getting more conscious about the things that they include in their diet and sugar has been an age-old topic of debate. as it leads to several health-related problems.
However, a nutritionist recently shared insight on the common question 'how much sugar is too much sugar'. Nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar shared an explanatory video where she talked about the recent WHO guideline regarding non-sugar sweeteners and how much sugar one should consume in a day.
She mentioned that WHO recommends limiting added sugar intake to 5-10% of daily diet. This is about 6-12 tsp/ day.
She further said that people should not avoid seasonal fruits like mango, and litchi, among others as they are safe for everyone to eat.
