Previous studies have noted that ice cream has numerous health benefits. A 2018 study also suggested that eating half a cup of ice cream every day may lower the risk of heart problems for diabetics.
According to recent research, ice cream may contain some nutrients which could be beneficial such as calcium and low glycaemic index, but that is outweighed by sugar and calorie content.
However, scientists concluded that frozen desserts should not be considered a healthy food and should be consumed only in moderation.
