Most of us wonder what healthy drink one can consume after exercise other than water. While some of us drink various sorts drink, others are okay with replenishing their body with water. However, actor Bhagyashree has the best suggestion when it comes to your post-exercise drink.

What does Bhagyashree suggest?

Bhagyashree loves her share of coconut water after working out. In her series of #Tuesdaytips with Bhagyashree, the actor shared why coconut water is better than sugary sports drinks. “Coconut water is more hydrating and a superior alternative to sports drinks post workouts. Not all things fancy and expensive are better,” she said.

The actress added that the drink is low on calories but helps her rehydrate, “It increases your electrolytes and aids in faster recovery. High in potassium, magnesium, and phosphorus, it gives your body the nutrients much needed after a workout."

What are the benefits of coconut water?

Sugary sports drinks contain water, they lack the correct amount of electrolytes. Consuming excessive amounts of sugar may make it more difficult to hydrate. On the other hand, drinking coconut water before exercise lowers the risk of being dehydrated. Coconut water also serves as a great post-exercise drink as it recuperates and restores electrolytes.
