Nutritionist shares best time to soak in vitamin D:
Nutritionist Leema Mahajan has shared a video on Instagram, saying that vitamin D is involved in the creation of many proteins and enzymes that are essential for human health and also prevent us from various diseases.
Points to remember when soaking up sunlight:
- She doesn’t recommend direct exposure to sunlight
- According to her best time to soak in the sun is between 12-3 pm. However, some doctors say the ideal time is when the sun rays are not too harsh.
- 30 minutes of sun exposure is enough for dark-skin tonned people whereas, about 15 minutes is enough for the light-skinned ones
- She also suggested that your back, arms and shoulder skin should be well exposed to the sun as compared to other parts of the body.
Pro tip – In case of any skin problem due to sun exposure please visit a dermatologist immediately.
