The holiday season is all about binge eating and drinking with family and friends. But, after enjoying the holidays, it's important to cleanse your gut and focus on your diet.

Embrace festival detox with nourishing foods, hydrating drinks and mindful practices. Rejuvenate your body and mind post-celebrations, promoting a healthy start to the season. Prioritise self-care, restoring balance and vitality after the festivities.

Nutritionist Kavita Devgan suggests that after festivities, it's crucial to cut down on sugar and opt for easily digestible foods like khichdi, dal, and rice for the next few days.

Moreover, to reduce bloating, consider drinking fennel seed water, herbal teas and increase water intake. It's better to engage yourself in yoga, brisk walking, jogging and prioritise sleep.

Why sugar cut is important for detox

Reducing sugar is vital for detox as it aids in stabilizing blood sugar levels and curbing inflammation. Eliminating excess sugar supports liver function, a key organ in detoxification. Opting for a low-sugar diet promotes overall well-being and enhances the body's natural cleansing processes.
