According to a study published in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, older people who use the Internet regularly were less likely to develop dementia.

The research was conducted on 18,125 adults aged between 50 to 65 who did not have dementia when the study had begun.

During research participants were asked if they regularly use the Internet for mail, searching for information, travel reservations and shopping.

Later, it was concluded that people who used the internet for about 2 hours or less a day had the lowest risk of dementia compared to those who didn't use it at all.  But researchers also warned that too much of anything is never a good idea.
