Shane Warne's Extreme Liquid Diet: Here's everything you need to know about it

Famous Australian cricketer Shane Warne breathed his last on March 4, 2022. He was 52 years old at the time of death. The autopsy reports revealed that the cause of death was natural.

The report suggests that the cricketer was on an extreme liquid diet for 14 days. It is believed that this diet could have been one of the triggers. This diet could have put his heart under extra strain.

Dangers associated with a liquid diet:  

According to Professor Garry Jennings, the Heart Foundation's chief medical adviser, low-calorie diets can strain and impact the heart in some situations.  

He stated, "Your metabolism, your handling of fluids, salt and other electrolytes get completely out of whack, if you have a small heart attack, you're more likely for that to turn into something serious with a rhythm disorder."

Low-calorie diets such as liquid diets do not have the right balance of protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals.   

People who have diabetes, who are on insulin, pregnant women and those suffering from chronic illnesses are advised to stay away from liquid diets to protect their health and well-being.
