A poll conducted on 1,000 American adults found that 84 per cent people do wish to eat with their close ones but end up eating alone most of the time due to work or other reasons.
Experts say that sharing meals with others is a great way to reduce stress, improve social connection and boost self-esteem, particularly for kids.
While 54 per cent of the people believe that sharing food with others reminds them to slow down, take a break and boost their social network; 59 per cent believe that they make healthy eating choices while sharing meals with others.
