How many eggs are too many eggs, you ask? Well, a recent study states that consumption of more eggs leads to a healthy heart.
The research was published in the journal Nutrients, and was conducted by researchers from Boston University. The team used data from 2,300 adults and found that eating five or more eggs per week helps in lowering blood pressure, blood sugar, and the risk of type 2 diabetes, resulting in better heart health.
According to the American Heart Association one whole or two egg whites per day can be a part of a heart-healthy diet. As even though eggs are a rich source of protein and other nutrients, over consumption of eggs can elevate cholesterol levels.
