A latest study has shed light on the correlation between mild cases of Covid-19 and cardiovascular health. According to the study, even mild cases of coronavirus can have long-term harmful impacts on heart health.
The study was published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine. In the study, researchers found that artery and central cardiovascular function were affected two to three months after they were diagnosed with Covid-19.
Study co-author, Maria Perissiou from the University of Portsmouth in the UK said that they were surprised to observe such a decline in cardiovascular health, which deteriorated even further with time since COVID-19 infection.
