A new study published in the journal Neurology found that people who sleep more than nine hours per night had an increased chance of suffering a stroke.
For the study, researchers analysed data from people across 32 countries. Participants were asked if they snored, snorted or had breathing problems while sleeping.
The findings suggested that people who slept for more than 9 hours regularly were more likely to have a stroke than those who didn’t.
Oversleeping has previously been linked to other health problems including obesity, diabetes and heart diseases, according to Healthline.
