A new study has connected healthy sleep pattern with lower risk of ashthma. According to a report published in the BMJ Open Respiratory Research Journal, risk of asthma increases due to poor sleep pattern. A team from China's Shandong University used UK Biobank to examine data from 4,55,405 people aged 38 to 73.
People's sleeping patterns were investigated, and it was found that lack of sleep can inflame the lung airways and weaken the immune system, resulting in symptoms of asthma.
Research revealed that healthy sleep patterns can reduce the risk of asthma and according to researchers early recognition of sleeping disorder, if not genetic, can lead to early treatment and lower the risk.
