Winter brings with it various seasonal fruits and vegetables which are treasures for our health. One of them is guava, which we love eating. Ayurveda doctor Deeksha Bhavsar Savaliya also shared some unknown benefits of guava through an Instagram post.
Beneficial for diabetics and migraine patients
Guavas are rich in dietary fiber, vitamin A and C, folic acid, minerals, potassium, copper and manganese. It also contains both carotenoids and polyphenols which are beneficial for skin and hair. Being rich in fiber, guava is considered beneficial for diabetic patients.
Besides these, guava also provides relief from constipation, migraine, menstrual cramps and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Eating a guava after exercising instantly provides energy and magnesium-rich fruit relaxes the muscles.
Benefits of guava leaves and tree bark
Apart from the fruit guava leaves and the bark of its tree also have medicinal properties. In Ayurveda, guava leaves are used to heal wounds and body pain.
