We often think of saunas and spas as a relaxing experience, or a skincare treatment before an important event, such as a wedding or a trip. However, dry saunas may actually help slow down the natural aging process of your skin, as per a plastic surgeon from Beverly Hills, USA, Dr. Faryan Jalalabadi.

Dry spa slows down ageing

In a video that racked up more than 11 lakh views on TikTok, Dr. Jalalabadi, who is known for posting infotainment content related to anti-aging, made the bold claim that a dry spa every day slows down the natural aging process of the skin, by improving collagen and elastic production, as well as detoxifying the skin through sweating. But he warned not to overdo it. 15 to 20 minutes a day is plenty! “Every day that you do this, it is an anti-aging practice”, he emphasized.

His video, which has garnered mixed (and hilarious) responses from netizens, also has him boasting about how the sauna can improve circulation to the skin as well as cardiovascular health.

Besides this, Dr. Jalalabadi is also known for other viral anti-aging videos, such as one where he cautions viewers to stay away from sugar, claiming it is “really bad” for your skin, and one where he encourages weight lifting as another great tool in your anti-aging arsenal.
