Wearing shoes at home; right or wrong?

A new study conducted by microbiologist Dr. Charles Gerba suggested that 96 per cent of our shoes contain fecal bacteria, viruses, pesticides, mold, heavy metals and forever chemicals. 

During the research, it was also found that there's an average of over 421,000 units of bacteria on the surface of our shoes. 

Apart from this, shoes contain microplastics that can damage the lungs as well as contaminate the environment. Hence, it's important to leave shoes at the door, it'll keep the indoor space clean and may help keep everyone inside healthier.
