Why are Gen Z and millennials feeling older than their age?

According to a recent research by PepsiCo and a London-based market research company, Indians aged over 40 feel younger and healthier as compared to Gen Z and millennials.

The report found that 82 per cent of Gen X audience feel their own age or younger, while 40 per cent of Gen Zs & millennials feel older. Low energy, consistent fatigue and poor immunity were the reasons why young adults feel older than their age.

The survey was conducted with over 1,000 participants aged 18 years and above,
living across Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.

The data further revealed that over 40 per cent of people in Gen X claimed that they never skip breakfast. Whereas, 50 per cent of Gen Z and 61 per cent of millennials admitted skipping breakfast.

Despite these differences, the survey also stated that there has been an overall shift in
healthy living post-pandemic. Over 70% of respondents improved their nutrition intake and
more than 62 per cent people increased their physical activity since the pandemic.
