Is your pet feeling lethargic these days? Well, there could be many reasons for this. One of them being inadequate supply of nutrients in their diet, which plays a crucial role in your pet's mood swings. A good mix of nutrients leads to a happy and healthy pet.

According to American Kennel Club, dogs require a wide range of nutrients in different stages of their lives. So, to ensure that your pet doesn't suffer from any nutrient deficiency, you must design their meals well.

How to choose the best nutritious food for your pet?

The Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) has a strict list to make sure that a product contains the maximum amount of nutrients necessary for pets.

Veterinarians suggest that healthy fats improve their cardiovascular system, fiber promotes a healthy digestive system, vitamins are essential for growth and carbohydrates play an essential role to keep them energetic throughout the day.

A different diet plan is followed for cats, dogs, and birds as they have their own nutritional requirements. Like dogs can be fed eggs, omega- 3 oils, blueberries, and bone broth whereas a cat's diet can include cranberries, carrots, broccoli, and lean meats.

Pet owners must also keep in mind about their pet's allergies, before buying any food from the market or consult a veterenarian whenever required.
