A recent study has found that women are more affected by constipation. However, men tend to take longer time in the washroom. The survey was conducted by The Big Poo Review. Yes, that's literally the name.
The survey was done on around 142,768 people. The participants who took part in it belonged to the age group of 18 years and above. There were 110,627 females, 32,023 males and 118 other people who were part of this survey.
The study discovered that constipation affected approximately 21 per cent of the participants. Interestingly, a higher percentage of females, specifically over 23 per cent, experienced infrequent bowel movements compared to males, with around 13 per cent being affected.
In addition, the study also revealed intriguing findings regarding restroom habits. Men were found to visit the washroom more frequently than women and tended to spend a longer duration of time there.
