Every year World Cancer Day is observed on February 4. This day is celebrated to raise awareness about cancer through early identification, prevention, detection and treatment of cancer.
World Cancer Day is being celebrated for almost 23 years by the Union for International Cancer Control to give courage to cancer victims and to emphasize on reducing its global burden.
Every year this day is celebrated with different themes. This year the theme of celebrating this day is 'Close the care gap- Everyone deserves access to cancer care'. This theme has been kept for the year 2022 to 2024 that is for three whole years.
