According to the latest study done by the UK-based Imperial School of Public Health, it was found that higher consumption of ultra-processed food like breakfast cereals, ready meals, packaged bread and fizzy drinks might increase the risk of cancer.

In the study, it was mentioned that when there is a 10% increase in ultra-processed food consumption in a person's diet, there is a 6% increase in the mortality by cancer. Other than this, there is also a 16% increase in chances of breast cancer and a 30% increase in chances of ovarian cancer.

Senior author for the study also mentioned that this study added to the growing evidence that ultra-processed foods are likely to negatively impact our health including risk of cancer.
