World Tuberculosis Day is observed every year on March 24 to raise awareness about the deadly disease and to end the TB epidemic globally.

TB remains one of the world’s deadliest infectious killers. As per WHO, over 4000 people die from TB every day. However, global efforts to combat TB have saved an estimated 66 million lives since the year 2000.
This year's theme of World Tuberculosis Day is 'Invest to end TB. Save lives'. It focuses on the urgent need to invest resources to ramp up the fight against TB and achieve the commitments to end the infectious disease.
