HELLO! India recently hosted its first-ever India Art Awards. The award night was attended by many eminent personalities including art collector Kiran Nadar, designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee and art historian Tasneem Zakaria Mehta among others.
Chairperson Editorial Board, HELLO! India, Avarna Jain and Ruchika Mehta, Editor at HELLO! magazine slayed the red carpet with their appearance. Speaking with Editorji, the hosts shared the idea behind the first edition of HELLO! India Art Awards and future plans. Take a look!
The event began with a panel discussion on ‘Moving Beyond The Modernists' featuring jury member Tasneem Mehta, India Art Fair director Jaya Asokan and curator Kishore Singh followed by an Award ceremony.
Late Indian painter, sculptor and writer Satish Gujral was also remembered during the event. In his honour, HELLO! India Art Awards displayed one of his timeless sculptures; Eternity - Echoes of Nandi, Shiva’s Terrestrial Bull that signifies the continuum and triad of time.
Presented as a flagship event by HELLO! magazine, the India Art Awards will be an annual feature from 2022 and will precede the India Art Fair in Delhi. It aims to make a positive impact in enriching the art, the artist and the industry.
