Over 1.5 million people in Japan are living a completely isolated life, which is a growing concern there and the Japanese have termed it as Hikikomori.

However, some 6,000 miles away, the United States is also experiencing its own form of the trend as 7 million men at prime working ages are currently unemployed and are lazy enough to hunt for jobs according to political economist Nicholas Eberstadt.

The author of the book titled as Men Without Work has also stated that most of the unemployed people are busy playing video games, watching pornography and consuming drugs.

However, the research done by Kyushu University in Japan stated that a low testosterone level is one of the common reasons behind young people falling prey to hikikomori.
