ICMR recommends easy tips on how to stay active in our busy schedule

In today's lifestyle, taking extra time for our hobbies and other physical activities becomes very difficult. 
Recently, the ICMR has advised walking for 5-10 minutes every few hours to remain physically active on a busy schedule. It has suggested using stairs instead of lifts/elevators, using a standing desk or standing every half hour at work, parking vehicle away from workplace and taking phone calls while walking. It's also recommended moving around during commerical breaks while watching TV. 

Tips to stay active during a busy schedule 

Take short walks: Incorporate 5-10 minute walks every few hours to stay active.

Use stairs: Opt for stairs instead of elevators or escalators whenever possible.

Use a standing desk: Stand for part of your workday to reduce sitting time.

Park farther away: Choose parking spots that require a short walk to your destination.

Take phone calls on the move: Walk around while taking phone calls to add steps to your day.

Move during TV breaks: Use commercial breaks to stretch, do quick exercises, or walk around.
