Barbie has had another makeover. This time as a hijab-wearing Muslim. Designed by Nigerian designer Hanifah Adam, 'Hijarbi' is a Barbie with a hijab.

We are used to seeing Barbies in denim hotpants and crop tops, but with her colorful headscarves, flowing abayas and full-length couture dresses, Hijarbie celebrates Muslim fashion and culture.

In 2015, Hanifah made a doll that looked like herself, wearing a black headscarf, navy blue maxi dress and blue top. She received a lot of positive responses when she shared the photos of this doll on Instagram, and she created an Insta handle for the doll @hijarbie.

The most important thing is that her doll not only plays house to house in pink dresses but also plays sports. Have a look.
